Every city in every State in the United States has a free listing services available for artists. It may be as simple as a calendar listing or a posting on Craigslist.com. Take advantage of as many free listings as you can get. It never hurts to be seen in multiple places. If you have an up-coming show, get it listed and more importantly invite as many of the local press as you can to help secure a free write-up following the show. You have to put effort in before you can see results.
